Carbon Specialties
Novakinetics engineering specialists built a heated mold with an internal pressure bag for processing these prepreg carbon fiber aviator's helmet visor covers.
We have designed and constructed large CNC machined patterns, such as this wood pattern for a carbon fiber propeller spinner to be used in an ongoing Supermarine Seafire restoration.
Special Projects
Every year, engineering students at the University of Texas at Arlington build a race car for the SAE Formula competition. When we were located in Fort Worth, we helped these students build their bodywork each year. Typically, the students would build a rough pattern, which we would smooth as needed. We then helped them build molds and "production" parts, with one of our painters doing the final finish. We had a lot of fun teaching our specialties and really respected the work the students put into their designs.
We're currently exploring opportunities to sponsor similar projects at Northern Arizona University or in the Flagstaff area.
